President

Israel S. Ray CNHA, M.H.A., C.N.A., has been a member of the College since 2006. He became a certified administrator of the College in 2010. He has over 15 years of management experience in operations and healthcare leadership. Since 2008 he has been serving as the Executive Director for Christian Care Communities, which is a Continuum of Care Retirement Community, in Hopkinsville, KY.  Israel received his bachelors degree in Biology from Berea College and his Masters in Healthcare Administration from the University of Kentucky.

Israel enjoys cycling, hiking, snow skiing, traveling to new vacation destinations, and most especially spending time with his family. In college he was a national competitor in the 110 high hurdles. He has never forgotten that in both sports and in life there are not barriers only opportunities. He is currently serving as chairman of the Deacons for his church and is an active member of the Hopkinsville Rotary club.

Israel believes that the College serves as a catalyst for leaders and leadership development both personally and professionally within the realm of long-term care. 

Vice President

Jerry Hoganson, President of Wesley Manor, is an experienced health care administrator with decades of service in a variety of settings.  Born and raised in Minnesota, he received his Bachelors Degree from Concordia College, Moorhead, MN, majoring in Hospital Administration.  He also attended St. Mary’s College of Minnesota in the Masters of Arts Program in Health and Human Services Administration.  He has worked in clinics, hospitals, and long-term care, in Minnesota and Washington, and for three years on the island of Madagascar as a medical missionary with the American Lutheran Church.  He has published numerous articles for health care journals, and is a past member of the American College of Health Care Administrators. While in St. Paul, Minnesota, he became consecrated as a Diakonal Minister in Health and Human Services with the United Church of Christ.  Jerry is married, has two grown children, and two grandchildren.  His interests also include music, bicycling, and golf.

Treasurer

Gary Preece, NHA, MBA is currently the Manager of Reimbursement and Analysis for Christian Care Communities in Louisville, KY. He has a Master’s of Business Administration degree with a concentration in finance from Xavier University. His undergraduate degree in Healthcare Administration was obtained from the University of Kentucky. He has years of management experience in hospitals, medical practices and long-term care companies. 

Secretary

Natalie Mead, NHA is the Compliance Analyst for Exceptional Living Centers' home office in Lexington, KY.  She has a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Health Services Administration from the University of Central Florida.  Natalie is a licensed administrator in the state of Florida and skills include policy writing, training, HIPAA compliance and contract negotiation.

Education and Events Director

Tim McAdoo, NHA brings 20 years of healthcare administration and business development background to help guide the association through the ever changing regulatory and financial situations facing the association’s members.  In addition to his financial background, he joins the board with a variety of community interests that complement the ACHCA philosophy. Of those interests, he serves on the advisory board for public transportation (TARC), and on the Governor’s Advisory for Public Health and Epidemiology.

A graduate of the University of Kentucky with a Healthcare Communications in 1994, he has received licensure as a nursing home administrator in Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia and Virginia. Maintaining his credentials in Kentucky, Tim now works as the Regional Director of Development for Heritage Healthcare, an independent therapy management provider based in Greenville, South Carolina.
